The water contains alkali-hydrogen-carbonic, magnesium, chloride and sulfide thus it is mostly recommended for those who have some kind of motor disease, joint or backbone problems, are after some kind of accident injury and rehabilitation.

The complex was rebuilt in recent years. Inside there are different kinds of indoor and outdoor pools which include thermal pools, swimming pools and a Jacuzzi. Besides these different kinds of therapeutic and wellness treatments are also available like massages, mud-pack etc. The spa also has a hotel and a nice hall for conferences.

According to the finds that archeologists found here Komárom is one of the oldest settlements in the Carpathian basin. They found here finds of the Celtics, and the Roman Ages. During Roman Ages its name was Brigetio and it was one of the most important fortresses in the province. Opposite Brigetio, on the other side of the river was Clementia. After the fall of the Romans, Avar people settled here. The Hungarian conquerors built a great earthwork here. Soon Komárom became the administrative center of the shire. The first source which mentioned the name of the town dates back to the 11C. After the invasion of the Tatar troops in the 13C the fortress was rebuilt of stone. During the 16C it was an important strategically, administrative, cultural and trade center of the country. King Mathis made Komárom a great renaissance town. The town flourished during these years. When the Turks invaded Hungary the Hapsburg emperor had rebuilt the fortress to make it stronger. It became the one of the most important border fortresses in Hungary. In the 18C the inhabitants of the town were rich enough to rebuild their mansions and places in baroque style. The turn in fortune of the town had come after the Second World War and Trianon. Komárom became borderland and due to this its importance decline. But on the other nad it became the cultural center of Hungarian people living in Slovakia. After the reconstructions only the old center remained the same. Nowadays it is a busy railway and frontier crossing road and an important cultural and tourist center, mostly during summertime.
